ENTRY INTO THIS CONTEST CONSTITUTES YOUR ACCEPTANCE OF THESE OFFICIAL RULES. CONTEST IS GOVERNED BY U.S. LAW AND IS SUBJECT TO ALL FEDERAL, STATE AND LOCAL LAWS, REGULATIONS, AND ORDINANCES.

CONTEST ENTRY PERIOD: The J.I. ‘Hood Life Crisis Vol 3’ Contest (the “Contest”) begins at 12:00:00 AM Pacific Standard Time (“PST”) on 12/11/20 and ends at 11:59:59 PM PST on 12/18/20 (“Contest Entry Period”). The Sponsor’s (as defined below) designated agent’s computer system shall be the official timekeeper for the Contest.

SPONSOR: Interscope Records, a division of UMG Recordings, Inc., 2220 Colorado Ave., Santa Monica, CA 90404 (the “Sponsor”).

ELIGIBILITY: Contest is open to legal residents of the fifty (50) United States (including the District of Columbia), age eighteen (18) years or older at time of entry. Employees of the Sponsor, their respective parent companies, J.I. The Prince (the “Artist”), agents and anyone professionally associated with the Artist, affiliates, subsidiaries, advertising and promotion agencies, web suppliers, consultants, crew members, and any other individual or company involved in the creation, production, or execution of the Contest (collectively, the “Contest Entities”) and their immediate families (parents, siblings, children and their respective spouses) and households of each, whether or not related, are not eligible to enter or win. No groups, clubs or organizations may participate in this Contest or reproduce or distribute any portion of these Official Rules to its members. Entries that are altered, delayed, deleted, destroyed, forged, fraudulent, improperly accessed, inaccurate, incomplete, interrupted, irregular in any way, late, lost, misdirected, multiple, non-delivered, stolen, tampered with, unauthorized, unintelligible or otherwise not in compliance with these Rules will not be eligible to win. Each of such potential Entries will be disqualified and any attempt by a person to use multiple email accounts to register and participate more than once may result in disqualification at Sponsor’s sole discretion. Void where prohibited or restricted by law.

HOW TO ENTER: Access to the internet is required for entry. To enter, visit https://jimerch.com/pages/sweepstakes-rules (“Website”) during the Contest Entry Period and follow all onscreen entry instructions to (1) Create a thirty (30) second or less original dance video created solely by you and inspired by your choice of J.I. The Prince song (the “Video”); and (2) Post your Video to your TikTok account (“TikTok Contest Post”), during the Entry Period with the following hashtag: #HLKContest and tag @jidadon1. (collectively with the hashtag, the “Contest Tags”). Any Entry that does not include the Contest Tags shall be deemed to be invalid. Once properly submitted, the post you submitted along with the Contest Tags will be entered into the pool of entries and referred to herein as your “Contest Entry”. Any video submitted cannot exceed thirty (30) seconds in length. If any video exceeds the aforementioned limitation, only the first thirty (30) seconds will be reviewed and judged. All Contest Entries must be received by the Sponsor and must be published on TikTok during the Contest Entry Period. Limit of one (1) Contest Entry per person. Only complete and valid entries as determined by the Sponsor will be eligible for the Contest. Sponsor is not responsible for lost, late, incomplete, invalid, unintelligible or misdirected entries, which will be disqualified.

All Entries submitted in accordance with these Rules shall be hereinafter referred to as “Eligible Entries”. All Entries become the property of Sponsor and will not be acknowledged or returned. Hereafter, your TikTok account will be referred to as “Account.” If your Account is set to “protected or private mode,” your Entry will not be visible to the Sponsor and, therefore, may not be received by the Sponsor, and will not be Eligible Entries or submitted to the Contest. Entry must be posted by the Account holder and not a shared post of other entrant’s work or material posted on any other account. All Entries must be published on entrant’s Account for the full duration of the Entry Period. Any Entries that are published on entrant’s Account and removed before the end of the Entry Period shall be deemed to be invalid. By submitting an Entry, you agree that Sponsor has no obligation to post or publish your Entry, that all such postings or publication, if any, will be at Sponsor’s sole discretion and that the posting or publication of an Entry does not have any bearing on whether the Entry will be selected as a winner. Without limiting the generality of the foregoing, entrant acknowledges that, by his/her actions in creation of the Contest Post, the entrant’s Entry shall be publicly visible on TikTok and entrant agrees that the Entry may be posted and shared by third parties in various social media outlets and that Sponsor and/or Associated Parties are not responsible for any reposting or other use of Entries by third parties. You must disclose your relationship with the Sponsor in any online posts relating to or in connection with the Contest (including but not limited to any Entries and any posts that you may publish in the event that you win a Prize) by including the Contest Tags. Any online post you make must include the following hashtag: #J.I.ThePrinceEntry and the statement “I entered a Contest promoted by Interscope”. If your Entry is determined as a winner, you will continue to disclose your relationship with the #J.I.ThePrinceEntry hashtag in all online posts you make that reference Interscope and/or any of its products or service(s) by including the statement “I received a prize from Interscope” in any such online posts. The Sponsor may disqualify any entrant that does not include the Contest Tags in any online content posted by that entrant that relates to the Contest. Entries will not be held “in confidence” and a submission does not create a confidential relationship or obligation of secrecy between you and Sponsor or any of the Associated Parties. If you do not have a TikTok account, visit https://www.tiktok.com/en/ and register for free. You must have an electronic device or mobile phone or other wireless that supports the TikTok application. Normal Internet access and data usage charges imposed by your online and cell phone service provider will apply. Please contact your participating mobile service provider for pricing plans, participation status and details.

Sponsor may, in its sole discretion, disqualify any Entry that Sponsor deems to be in violation of these Rules at any time. In event of a dispute regarding the identity of the person submitting an Entry, the Entry will be deemed to be submitted by the person whose name appears on or who was assigned the Account. Entries by any method other than set forth in the “how to enter” section are void. Any use of automated or programmed methods of spamming Entry is prohibited. Neither the Sponsor, Associated Parties, nor any of its officers, directors, shareholders, employees, agents, artists or representatives of the Sponsor or Associated Parties (individually a “Released Party” and collectively the "Released Parties") are responsible for Entries from persons residing, or physically located, outside any Eligible Territory; or Entries that are altered, delayed, deleted, destroyed, forged, fraudulent, improperly accessed, inaccurate, incomplete, interrupted, irregular in any way, late, lost, misrouted, multiple, non-delivered, stolen, tampered with, unauthorized, unintelligible or otherwise not in compliance with these Rules; or for any printing, production, technical, electronic or other errors; or for lost, interrupted or unavailable network, server or other connections; miscommunications; failed phone or computer hardware or software or telephone transmissions; technical failures; unauthorized human intervention; traffic congestion; garbled or jumbled transmissions; undeliverable emails resulting from any form of active or passive email filtering; insufficient space in entrant's Account to receive email; or other errors of any kind, whether due to electronic, mechanical or human error or other causes; even if caused by the negligence of any of the Released Parties.

Winners may be required to show proof of being the authorized account holder of the Account associated with the Entry. Any entrant who attempts to enter with multiple Accounts or under multiple identities will be disqualified. Sponsor is not obligated to communicate with any entrant during the duration of the Contest. Contest is subject to all applicable territorial, federal, state, provincial, local laws and regulations. In the event of a conflict between these Rules and the terms of any social media channel, these Rules will govern.

LIMIT: One (1) original Entry per entrant. Multiple entrants are not permitted to use the same TikTok account. All Entries, requests and/or materials submitted become the property of Sponsor and will not be returned or acknowledged. Only complete and valid entries as determined by the Sponsor will be eligible for the Contest. By participating in the Contest, each entrant is confirming that they have read and agree to comply with these Rules, Sponsor’s terms of use, located at https://privacy.umusic.com/terms/, and all other Contest requirements.

PLEASE NOTE THAT ANY AND ALL VIDEO SUBMITTED FOR THIS CONTEST AND SHARED BY AN ENTRANT VIA THE ENTRANT’S SOCIAL NETWORKS MAY BE PUBLICLY VIEWABLE. IN ADDITION, ENTRANTS ACKNOWLEDGE THAT THEIR SHARED ENTRIES MAY BE REPOSTED BY THE PUBLIC OR OPEN TO PUBLIC COMMENTARY, FOR WHICH SPONSOR SHALL NOT BE LIABLE.

Normal Internet access and data usage charges imposed by your carrier or online service will apply. By submitting an Entry, you hereby agree to hold Released Parties and their respective affiliates and subsidiaries, and the officers, directors and employees of each of the foregoing, harmless from and against any liability of any kind arising from or in connection with any use of the Entry. By submitting an Entry, entrant hereby warrants and represents s/he has not included any restricted content in the Entry and have not violated any of the requirements for entries as stated in these Rules.

To qualify for the Contest, your Entry must be received by 11:59:59 PM PT on December 18, 2020. Once you submit an Entry, your submission is considered final and may not be modified or edited. The Sponsor reserves the right to prescreen the submitted Entries and/or disqualify any Entry for any reason. Sponsor is under no obligation to disclose why an Entry has been disqualified other than the Entry was ineligible under these Rules. You agree that Sponsor has no obligation to post your Entry, that all such postings, if any, will be in Sponsor’s sole discretion and that the posting of an Entry does not guarantee the Entry will be selected as a winner. Normal Internet access and usage charges imposed by entrant’s online service may apply. Entries that do not include all required information and do not adhere to these Rules will be considered void.

Duplicate Entries from any entrant will be disregarded. Entries are subject to all notices posted online including Sponsor’s privacy policy. Sponsor is not responsible for any typographical, printing, or other errors; or for Entries that are late, lost, incomplete, contain inaccurate Entry information, misdirected (whether by human or technical error), stolen, garbled, undelivered, delayed, damaged, and/or illegible or any combination thereof; or for any computer, online, telephone or technical malfunctions that may occur.

Any Entry that does not meet the Entry guidelines below and/or conform to the Entry requirements as stated above, will be disqualified from the Contest.

Entry Guidelines: To qualify for the Contest, Entries must comply with the following content guidelines to be eligible.

Entry cannot:

  • Be sexually explicit or suggestive; unnecessarily violent; derogatory of any ethnicity, race, gender, religion, sexual preference, disability or age group; or profane or pornographic;
  • Be obscene or offensive, or endorse any form of hate or hate group;
  • Promote alcohol, illegal drugs, tobacco, firearms/weapons (or the use of any of the foregoing), or promote illegal activities or any activities that may appear unsafe or dangerous;
  • Defame, misrepresent or contain disparaging or libelous remarks about the Artist, the Sponsor (or its products or services), or other people and/or companies;
  • Contain any use of trademarks, logos, landmarks, copyrighted materials owned by others, or otherwise infringe or violate any third party rights, as determined by Sponsor (except for those explicitly provided by Sponsor to use in conjunction when entering this Contest), or contain any personally identifiable information of any individual;
  • Communicate messages or images inconsistent with the positive images and/or goodwill to which Sponsor and/or the Artist wishes to associate.

Entry must:

  • Be original, in English and solely created by you. It is your responsibility to obtain, prior to submission of the Entry, the approval and rights to use any content that you did not create;
  • Not have been previously published, submitted, or otherwise used for any other commercial purpose and/or competition.

By submitting your Entry, you warrant and represent that your Entry complies with the above criteria, and that you consent to the submission and use of the Entry in the Contest. Released Parties are not responsible for any unauthorized third-party use of any Entry. Entries will not be held “in confidence” and an Entry does not create a confidential relationship or obligation of secrecy between any entrant and Sponsor or any of its affiliates. As an entrant, you also acknowledge your Entry may be similar or identical in theme, format and/or other respects to other Entries. By entering, you waive any and all claims you may have had, may have, and/or may have in the future that any Entries, ideas or other works accepted, reviewed and/or used by the Sponsor, its affiliates, or their respective officers, directors, employees and agents may be similar to or the same as your Entry, or that any compensation is due to you in connection with such Entry or other works used by Sponsor. In the event of a dispute over the identity of an entrant or ownership of or rights to the Entry, the disputed Entry will be disqualified in the sole discretion of the Sponsor.

CONTEST JUDGING: All eligible and qualifying Entries received during the Contest Entry Period will be judged by personnel from the Sponsor and/or the Artist (collectively, the “Judges”) to determine the top scoring Entries (subject to verification). The top scoring Entries will then be declared the Prize winners of the Contest and will receive the Prize detailed herein, subject to verification. Judges’ decisions are final and binding on all matters related to the Contest. Judging will be based on the following judging criteria: (a) most creative Video (50%); (b) best dance technique (25%); (c) Video most consistent with Contest theme (25%).

TIES: In the event of a tie, the Entry (from among the tied Entries) with the highest score for most creative Video will be declared a winner (subject to verification). In the event of a further tie, the Artist will determine the winner from among the tied Entries. The Sponsor and the Artist reserves the right to not award any prize if, in its sole and absolute discretion, Sponsor does not receive a sufficient number of eligible and qualified Entries during the Contest Entry Period.

PRIZE DETAILS: Thirty-five (35) prizes (individually “Prize” and collectively “Prizes”) will be awarded. Each Prize will consist of one (1) Fanny Pack; one (1) Backpack; one (1) Long Sleeved T-Shirt; one (1) Mask; and one (1) Sticker. Approximate Retail Value (“ARV”) for each Prize Pack: $60.00 USD. Total ARV of all Prizes: $2100.00. All Prize details are at Sponsor’s sole discretion. Certain restrictions may apply.

WINNER NOTIFICATION(S): Judging will be conducted between December 20, 2020 – January 3, 2021 at the offices of the Sponsor whose decisions are final and binding. An email will be sent to potential Prize winner(s) on or about 1/4/21. Prize winners must also be able to receive calls from an unlisted/blocked number and have (or have access to) an internet connection to receive emails from the Sponsor and/or its designated agent. The contact information provided on Entry form will be used to notify each Prize winner. Each Prize winner will be required to respond to the prize notification within twenty-four (24) hours of notification deployment in order to receive the Affidavit of Eligibility/Liability and Publicity Release (“Affidavit”) which must be completed, signed and returned to Sponsor or its designated agent within forty-eight (48) hours of notification deployment. A background check may be conducted on each Prize winner, at Sponsor’s sole discretion. If an Affidavit or prize notification is not returned within the specified time period stated herein, or if an Affidavit or prize notification is returned as undeliverable, if a Prize winner is otherwise found to be ineligible, if negative information is revealed as a result of a background check, or if winner cannot accept the prize for any reason, then such Prize winner will automatically forfeit all rights to the prize and, at the Sponsor’s sole discretion and time permitting, an alternate winner may be determined. Should a Prize winner be found to make any false statement(s) or to not be in compliance with these Official Rules, that winner will be disqualified, and an alternate Prize winner may be determined. Except where prohibited by law, entry and acceptance of prize constitute permission for Sponsor and its agents to use Prize winner's name, prize won, hometown, likeness, photographs, and statements for purposes of advertising, the Contest and publicity (including online posting) in any and all media now or hereafter known throughout the world in perpetuity, without additional compensation, notification or permission.

PRIVACY POLICY/DATA COLLECTION: Any data collected in this Contest will be used in accordance with Sponsor’s privacy policy located at: https://privacy.umusic.com/. By participating, entrants hereby agree to Sponsor’s collection and usage of their personal information (if needed) and acknowledge that they have read and accepted Sponsor’s privacy policy and these Official Rules.

GENERAL: By entering the contest, each entrant affirms that s/he has read, understands and accepted these Official Rules. Any information collected by entering the Contest shall be used only in a manner consistent with these Official Rules and Sponsor’s privacy policy. The Sponsor reserves the right to cancel or modify the Contest if fraud, technical failures or any other factor beyond Sponsor’s reasonable control impairs the integrity of the Contest, as determined by Sponsor in its sole discretion. In such event, the Sponsor reserves the right to award any prize from among the eligible, non-suspect Entries received up to the time of the impairment. The Sponsor is not responsible for error, omission, interruption, deletion, defect, delay in operations or transmission, theft or destruction or unauthorized access to or alterations of Entry materials, or for technical, network, telephone equipment, electronic, computer, hardware or software malfunctions of any kind, or inaccurate transmission of, or failure to receive Entry information by Sponsor on account of technical problems or traffic congestion on the Internet or at any website or any combination thereof. Sponsor is also not responsible for any injury or damage to an entrant’s or any other person’s computer related to or resulting from downloading any materials associated with the Contest. CAUTION: Any attempt by an entrant to deliberately damage the Contest Website or undermine the legitimate operations of the Contest is a violation of criminal and civil laws and should such an attempt be made, the Sponsor reserves the right to seek damages from any such entrant to the fullest extent permitted by law.

RELEASE OF LIABILITY: By participating in this Contest, you hereby agree to abide by these Official Rules and the decisions of the Sponsor which are final and binding. Furthermore, you agree to release the Contest Entities and their respective parent companies, affiliates, subsidiaries, officers, directors, agents, employees and all others associated with the development and execution of this Contest (collectively, the “Released Parties”) from any and all liability with respect to, or in any way arising from your participation or attempt to participate in this Contest and/or awarding/acceptance of a prize if deemed a winner, including liability for personal injury, death, damages (human or property), or monetary loss. Without limiting the generality of the foregoing, the Released Parties are not responsible for interruptions due to acts of God, acts of war, natural disasters, weather or acts of terrorism. All issues and questions concerning the construction, validity, interpretation and enforceability of these Official Rules, or the rights and obligations of entrants and Sponsor in connection with this Contest, shall be governed by, and construed in accordance with, the substantive laws of the State of California, USA without regard to California choice of law rules.

None of the Released Parties are liable for any dispute between the winners arising under or related to the Contest, including, without limitation, the distribution of any prize to the winners. In the event of a dispute that cannot be resolved to Sponsor’s satisfaction, the affected party may be deemed to be ineligible to win a Prize.

By entering the Contest, you agree that any and all other disputes, claims, actions and causes of action arising out of or connected with such Contest or the prizes awarded, and all issues and questions concerning the validity, interpretation and enforceability of these Official Rules shall be resolved individually, without resort to any form of class action, and exclusively in a federal or state court of competent jurisdiction sitting in Los Angeles, California. Any and all claims, judgments and awards shall be limited to actual out-of-pocket costs incurred and, subject to applicable law, never shall include consequential, incidental or punitive damages, and in no event attorneys' fees or costs.

You agree that the releases in these Official Rules are intended to apply to all claims whether or not known or suspected to exist with the intent of waiving the effect of California Civil Code Section 1542 and other laws requiring the intent to release future unknown claims. You represent and warrant that entrants are familiar with Section 1542 of the California Civil Code, which provides as follows:

A general release does not extend to claims which the creditor does not know or suspect to exist in his or her favor at the time of executing the release, which if known by him or her must have materially affected his or her settlement with the debtor.

With full awareness of and understanding of this provision, you hereby waive and voluntarily relinquish any right

or benefit entrants may have under Section 1542 of the California Civil Code, and any similar provision of statutory or non-statutory law of any other jurisdiction, to the fullest extent that entrants may lawfully waive all such rights and benefits pertaining the subject matter of these Official Rules.

INDEMNIFICATION: You agree to indemnify, defend and hold the Released Parties harmless from and against any and all claims, damages, expenses, costs (including reasonable attorneys' fees) and liabilities (including settlements), brought or asserted by any third party against any of the Released Parties due to or arising out of or reasonably related to Your participation in this Contest, including, but not limited to, bodily injury, death, property damage, right of publicity, right of privacy and defamation. You agree to release and indemnify and hold harmless each of the Released Parties from and against any and all claims that your Entry, advertising, promotion, presentation, web content or any other material subsequently produced, presented, and/or prepared by or on behalf of any of the Released Parties (individually or collectively) infringes on your rights.

This Contest is not sponsored, endorsed or administered by TikTok nor is TikTok associated with the Contest in any way. You understand that you are providing information to Sponsor. Any questions, comments or complaints regarding the Contest must be directed to Sponsor at the aforementioned address. The information you provide will only be used for a manner consistent with these Rules and with the Sponsor’s Privacy Policy.
